Preparation for a summer job :-

If you taught EFL with us before and would to know about some of the updates for 2008 and the British Council accreditation scheme. Ex-staff that would like to apply for senior positions within the company can fill-in the Senior Application Form.

Our 'Staff Handbook 2008' is finally ready and has been printed and sent to recruited staff. It can also be found here.

For staff that are aware of our accreditation plans for summer, click here if you want to know what it entails.

For EFL teachers that want to know more about teaching in the UK or bringing UK culture into the classroom please see www.britishcouncil.org/languageassistant - simply one of the best teachers' resources, check their links page and their Essential UK lessons on Britain and culture.

For those teachers with a really keen interest in young learners, we recommend becoming a member of IATEFL's special interest group.

Look at our Links page for ideas and inspiration for working with children and/or teaching English.

Post summer job :-

We can offer assistance finding a short teaching contract in Europe to complete the summer season and to follow on from a 6 week contract with us. We are working alongside an organisation that can offer 1-2 week residential jobs in Italy in September.

The Directors at MC can also advise on teaching jobs and working conditions in many countries, and will provide a list of reliable job sites for ELT positions.

We will also happily advise on further study or relevant teacher development courses that take place in UK. We have contacts with many training centres both in UK and abroad. Obviously the ideas and knowledge of another 25+ teachers is even more valuable. Here is a good starting point for those that want to get abroad afterwards and need more advice on countries and courses: www.tesol-ua.org/teach-english or www.cactustefl.com.
