On Monday 15th July the English department held their first ever student focus group. Each class (from pre-intermediate level upwards) had elected a class representative, and the 14 students met with Aaron, the director of studies, and Andy, an assistant director of studies, to give their opinions on their lessons so far.

The students were very positive about their lessons, saying that they liked the level of difficulty and the materials used. They all said that they felt their English, especially their vocabulary and speaking skills, had improved during their stay – a fantastic result! The focus group provided a valuable opportunity for teachers to receive feedback, and gave them lots of interesting, new ideas to consider.

As well as this, the students were given the chance to make their opinions heard and practice their English by participating in the discussion.
We’re already looking forward to the next session!
